Comprehensive Options (include classroom and behind-the-wheel training)
- DriveSafe Comprehensive Program ($399)
The Comprehensive Program includes the minimum requirements for a student to get his/her permit at age 15. Includes 30 hours of classroom instruction (10 three hour sessions), six hours of Private Behind-the-Wheel training, plus the written permit test. Classes can be taken in any order, as long as Session 10 is saved for last. The driving lessons are customized to the skill of each student but generally consist of: 1) Residential Drive, 2) Downtown Drive, 3) Freeway and/or Mountain Drive. Students may begin classes as soon as they turn 14 1/2.
- DriveSafe Comprehensive "Plus" ($434)
Includes the Comprehensive Program plus the Driver's Test with a State Certified instructor. Our students love this option because taking the driving test with us is faster and friendlier than testing at the DMV.
- DriveSafe Comprehensive Safe Driver Program ($599)
The Safe Driver Program is our most highly rated program. It includes the Comprehensive Plus Program plus the Defensive Skills Day (see below), and is considerably less expensive than other similar programs. A terrific way to give your new driver every opportunity to learn to be a safe and responsible driver.
- DriveSafe Comprehensive Plus + 6 ($699)
Includes the Comprehensive Plus Program plus an additional six hours of behind-the-wheel training. A great option for students who would benefit from additional time with an expert instructor
- DriveSafe Ultimate Safe Driver Program ($859)
Our most Comprehensive Program of all. Includes the Comprehensive Plus Program, plus the Defensive Skills Day, plus an additional six hours of behind the wheel training. Truly the "ultimate" in driver's education.
Specialized Programs:
- Behind-the-Wheel "Six" ($299)
Ideal for students who already have their permits. Consists of six hours of private, one-on-one lessons with an expert instructor. The driving lessons take place in company owned vehicles equipped with special safety brakes and mirrors for the instructors. The lessons are customized to the skill of each student, but they generally consist of: 1) Residential Drive, 2) Downtown Drive, 3) Freeway and/or Mountain Drive. Also, unlike other driving schools, you can train on an automatic transmission, stick shift, or both. Finally, because the lessons are one-on-one, there's no time wasted sitting in the car while other students drive.
- DriveSafe Defensive Skills Day! ($189)
A full day program that teaches new drivers how to deal with hazards and other unanticipated situations. Skills covered include taking evasive action, sudden braking, and maintaining car control at all times.
- Behind-the-Wheel "Two" ($99.95 per lesson)
Purchase individual lessons to brush up on your skills or to learn how to drive a stick shift.
- DriveSafe 4 Hour Driver Awareness Program ($49)
A four hour program designed to qualify students who are 15 1/2 and older for their learner's permit. Contains many of the valuable lessons taught in our Classroom Course, but should not be considered the equivalent of a comprehensive drivers education program.
- DriveSafe Classroom Course ($149)
Our ten-session, 30 hour Classroom Course is designed for maximum flexibility and convenience. Classes can be taken in any order, as long as Session 10 is saved for last.
- Driver's License Testing ($40 for DriveSafe Students/$50 for the public)
Take your Driver's Test with one of our State Certified instructors and avoid lines at the DMV. You can use your vehicle or ours (subject to availability).
- Driving Assessment for Senior Citizens ($65)
Includes a one hour private lesson plus a written exam. A great way for older drivers to sharpen their skills and refresh their knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
- Permit Test ($15)
The permit test is included for free in our Comprehensive programs, but anyone wishing a permit test only is welcome to take it at a DriveSafe center.
- Fleet Training
Our instructors work with Corporate Fleets to improve drivers' skills and lower insurance costs by reducing accidents and poor driving. |
The DriveSafe 4 hour Driver Awareness Program
Designed for teens and adults. 15 1/2 year olds can qualify to receive their learner's permit by taking this class. Only $49 (plus $15 for the permit test). Contains much valuable information, but should not be considered equivalent to a comprehensive driver's education program.
